Ncumisa has been the Chief Executive Officer at Chapu CA Inc. since the 1st of March 2024. Prior to her current role, she served as a Quality Assurance Director & Technical at the sameaudit firm from February 2023.

In this role, she was responsible for providing technical guidance to the team on new accounting and audit standards, quality assurance, and developing and maintaining the system of quality management of the firm as required by the International Standard on Quality Management (ISQM). She played a pivotal role in overseeing the internal firm-level review which is aimed at assessing the adequacy and implementation of ISQM within the firm. She was hugely responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the risk management processes as well as technical matters including technical training on staff members, effectively leading the audit team (Operational, Financial, and IT), and taking responsibility of the audit function at the firm.

Over her 10 years at Auditor General SA, she rose through the ranks from Audit Quality Control Specialist to a Business Unit Leader responsible for Quality Management. Ncumisa's leadership was essential in the organisation’s implementation of the international standards on quality management. She oversaw the internal firm-level review which was aimed at assessing the adequacy and implementation of AGSA's compliance with ISQM as well as the development of QMBU Balance Score Card (BSC) and oversaw the implementation and reporting thereof.

Ncumisa has been actively involved in the auditing profession within South Africa as she was a member of the inspection committee of the Independent Regulatory Board for auditors in South Africa (IRBA).

Ncumisa's experience in her current role extends to building relationships with internal and external stakeholders across various levels, driving company culture and the overall management of the firm. She has excelled in leading the direction of the firm, implementing the firm's strategy, stakeholder management and communication, operational responsibility for the system of quality management of the firm, and responsibility for the quality assurance business unit.

Ncumisa, a Chartered Accountant (SA), holds a MCom Taxation degree from Nelson Mandela University where she also earned a BCom Accounting degree and a BCom (Honors) Accounting. Additionally, she is a Registered Auditor with the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA).
